One of the major functions of CATI is to ‘Catalyse R&D and manufacture of AT products’ which is:
CATI collaborates with AT developers to encourage technology and product development, as well as manufacturing through linkages with R&D organisations, IITs, IIMs, NITs, and leading engineering and management institutions/universities in India and abroad. CATI reaches out to students and startup communities in India to give impetus to an entrepreneurship ecosystem in AT through internships, collaborations and joint activities. Currently, our major collaborators are Social Alpha incubator, Kerala Startup Mission, APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Mar Baselios College of Engineering, Marian College of engineering, College of Engineering-Trivandrum and Kerala State Institute of Design. We co-organized ‘NISH makeathon’ in April, 2019 as part of Kerala Startup Mission’s Ideafest to promote AT projects by students and startups. Current projects also include an entry level AAC device development challenge for engineering colleges under APJ AKTU. The Empower Conference 2022 is also scheduled to be organised at NISH.
Hence we encourage students and startups working on AT projects to approach us right from the inception of their projects and we can provide them mentorship on ‘user-centric product development’. Please contact us by filling the form below for more information.
